Truskmore in Co. Sligo was the second Telefis Eireann transmitter and opened in 1962. Initially transmissions were in 405 lines on channel 11. 625 line transmissions began on channel i in 1963. Truskmore serves the North West and Fermanagh, Tyrone and even as far as Coleraine, according to Philip Striplin. RTE One is still on channel i, RTÉ Two is on channel G, TV3 is on channel 60 and TG4 is on channel 63. 405 line transmissions ceased in 1978.
