Truskmore in Co. Sligo was the second Telefis Eireann transmitter and opened in 1962. Initially transmissions were in 405 lines on channel 11. 625 line transmissions began on channel i in 1963. Truskmore serves the North West and Fermanagh, Tyrone and even as far as Coleraine, according to Philip Striplin. RTE One is still on channel i, Net 2 is on channel G, TV3 is on channel 60 and TG4 is on channel 63. 405 line transmissions ceased in 1978.
